Check Monitor Metrics

The DBaaS Admin Console provides comprehensive monitoring capabilities for SynxDB Cloud, allowing administrators to track the health and performance of multiple components at different levels. You can view metrics for UnionStore, FoundationDB, Coordinator, Warehouses, TP Servers, and individual PODs directly from the console.

Key monitoring features include but are not limited to:

  • Database core metrics: Monitor critical indicators such as concurrency count, active backend count, lock waiting count, and resource queue waiting count.

  • POD monitoring: Track basic resource usage and status for individual PODs.

  • Cache and OSS monitoring: Gain insights into cache performance and Object Storage Service (OSS) interactions.

This document describes how to access and interpret these monitoring metrics to ensure the stability and efficiency of your SynxDB Cloud clusters.

Check Coordinator metrics

To view the monitoring metrics for the Coordinator:

  1. Log in to the DBaaS Admin Console.

  2. In the left navigation menu, click Organization.

  3. In the organization tree, locate and select the target Account.

  4. On the Account Detail page, click the Resource tab.

  5. Locate the Coordinator section and click More next to the Coordinator ID.

The monitoring panel appears, displaying metrics organized into the following tabs:

  • Base Metrics: Monitors infrastructure-level resource usage (including Network, CPU, Memory, IO).

  • Database Metrics: Monitors core database performance indicators (including Connection Count, Dynamic Memory Available/Used, Concurrency Count, Active Backend Count, Resource Queue Waiting Count, Lock Waiting Count).

  • Storage Metrics: Monitors storage and cache performance (including OSS Write/Read Bytes, OSS Request Count, OSS Http Code, OSS Request Time-Consuming, Cache Usage, Cache Hit Rate, Cache Used, Cache File Count).

You can view metrics for a specific Pod by using the dropdown menu at the top of the tab. In addition, use the controls in the top-right corner to customize the time range or enable auto-refresh.

Check warehouse metrics

To view the monitoring metrics for a warehouse:

  1. Log in to the DBaaS Admin Console.

  2. In the left navigation menu, click Organization.

  3. In the organization tree, locate and select the target Account.

  4. On the Account Detail page, click the Warehouses tab at the bottom.

  5. Click the name of the target Warehouse in the list.

The monitoring panel appears, displaying metrics organized into the following tabs, similar to the Coordinator metrics:

  • Base Metrics: Monitors infrastructure-level resource usage (including Network, CPU, Memory, IO).

  • Database Metrics: Monitors core database performance indicators (including Connections, Memory, Concurrency, Locks).

  • Storage Metrics: Monitors storage and cache performance (including OSS and Cache).

You can view metrics for a specific Pod by using the dropdown menu at the top of the tab. In addition, use the controls in the top-right corner to customize the time range or enable auto-refresh.

Check TP Server metrics

To view the monitoring metrics for a TP Server:

  1. Log in to the DBaaS Admin Console.

  2. In the left navigation menu, click Organizations.

  3. In the organization tree, locate and select the target Account.

  4. On the Account Detail page, click the Resource tab.

  5. Click the TP Servers tab at the bottom.

  6. Click the name of the target TP Server in the list.

The monitoring panel opens with the following tabs:

  • Warehouse Detail: Displays the basic information of the TP Server, including Name, Status, Profile, and Environment Spec. The tab also lists accessible users.

  • Base Metrics: Monitors infrastructure-level resource usage, including but not limited to Network, CPU, Memory, and IO metrics.

  • Database Metrics: Monitors core database performance indicators, including but not limited to Connection Count, Dynamic Memory Available/Used, Concurrency Count, Active Backend Count, Resource Queue Waiting Count, and Lock Waiting Count.

  • Storage Metrics: Monitors storage and cache performance, including but not limited to OSS read/write metrics and Cache usage metrics.

You can select a specific Pod from the dropdown menu at the top of the tab. In addition, use the controls in the top-right corner to customize the time range or enable auto-refresh.

Check UnionStore and FoundationDB metrics

To view monitoring metrics for UnionStore or FoundationDB nodes:

  1. Log in to the DBaaS Admin Console.

  2. In the left navigation menu, click UnionStore or FoundationDB.

  3. In the resource tree, locate and select the target node.

  4. In the right panel, view the Base Metrics section. For FoundationDB, you can also select the FoundationDB Metrics tab.

The Base Metrics view displays infrastructure-level metrics such as:

  • Network: Network In/Out PPS, Network In/Out Bandwidth.

  • CPU: CPU Used vs Limit vs Request, CPU Usage.

  • Memory: Memory usage details.

For FoundationDB, the FoundationDB Metrics tab provides deeper insights, including but not limited to:

  • General: Database health and status.

  • Data: Storage usage and partition sizes.

  • Workload: Transaction and operation statistics.

  • Processes: CPU and IO usage by process.

  • QOS: Queue and throttling metrics.

  • Latency Probe & GRV: Detailed latency analysis.

  • Backups: Backup status.

You can view metrics for a specific Pod by using the dropdown menu at the top of the section. In addition, use the controls in the top-right corner to customize the time range or enable auto-refresh.
